    Chimney Stone

Frustrated with his hodgepodge of big box store furnishings, this homeowner reached out to Erin for full-service interior design. Together, the client and Erin designed, planned, and overhauled the interiors of this 4 bedroom ranch in a modern lodge aesthetic with a mixture of natural materials like stack stone, cowhide, mohair, wool, and seagrass. Erin designed and proposed custom built-in cabinetry with bench seating and plenty of storage in the great room. Floor to ceiling neutral drapery panels with blue and silver accent banding flank the windows on either side of the stack stone fireplace and complement nicely with the blue and neutral plaid club chairs. Tones of blue, rust, and neutrals mix throughout the home for a cohesive look from room to room. In the Dining Room, Erin employed a local artist to lacquer the groin vaulted ceiling and the walls in a high gloss neutral finish. Wall to wall neutral draperies with flecks of the silver frame the quad of windows of the dining room, soften the space, add a subtle shimmer to the room, and contrast nicely with the blue and silver velvet flame stitch on the dining chairs. No room was left untouched. When the design was complete, the overall look of the home was one that balanced both masculine and feminine touches and welcomed all who visited.
